Something not working? Let's fix it.

Recline prompts you on first launch. If you dismissed it, go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app and pick Recline. On some skins (MIUI, One UI, ColorOS) the path is Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Default apps.

Recording needs the separate Recline Helper app, activated once via Shizuku, Wireless debugging, ADB or root. The setup guide walks through each method and the common snags.

Some devices block certain audio sources. The Helper automatically probes several capture strategies and keeps the first audible one. If audio is still weak, try a different connection method, or check the Helper's status screen to see which strategy it settled on.

Almost always aggressive battery optimisation. Open Settings → Apps → Recline → Battery and set it to Unrestricted. Then check Recline is still your default phone app, and that Sleep Control isn't active right now.

Fake Call runs on a foreground timer service, so it needs the notification permission and unrestricted battery access. Grant both, and avoid force-stopping the app after scheduling a call — that kills the timer.

Auto-reply needs the SMS send permission. Check Settings → Apps → Recline → Permissions → SMS. Also confirm the feature is on in Recline's settings and at least one template is saved. Carrier SMS charges apply as normal.

Recline can only reject calls while it is the default phone app. Also check whether the caller is in your Sleep Control exceptions, and whether the number is arriving in a different format (with or without country code) than the rule you created.

Everything Recline stores is on your device: Settings → Apps → Recline → Storage → Clear Data. Recordings live with the Helper — clear that app's data too.

The Helper stops when the phone reboots or the process is killed. Re-run your method: tap Start, re-run the ADB command, or reconnect Shizuku. With Shizuku or root it comes back on its own.

The two apps verify each other, so a copy from an unofficial source won't pair. Download the Helper from its page on this site and Recline from the Play Store, then try again.

Shizuku for most people — set it up once and it persists. Wireless debugging if you can't install Shizuku, ADB over USB if you have a PC handy, and root if your device is already rooted. Full walkthroughs are in the setup guide.

No. ADB over USB needs the PC only for that one command — unplug afterwards. Shizuku, Wireless debugging and root need no PC at all during use.

No fixed date. The design system and core buyer screens are done; the vendor flow and commerce layer are in progress. A closed beta in one city comes before any public release — the roadmap has the current state.

No. Location is requested only when you open a feature that needs it, and there's no passive collection. You can skip location entirely and set your area manually.

Yes — that's the point. Everything except creating an account and the optional backup runs in airplane mode. Members, payments, the scanner, reports: all local.

If you have the cloud backup subscription, restore on the new device. If you don't, the data is gone — the phone holds the only copy. The database survives an app uninstall and reinstall on the same device, but not a factory reset.

No, and they can't have them. There is exactly one login per gym — the owner's. Trainers and staff get a scan card and their own attendance log instead.

Only the cloud backup and restore. Every other feature is free and unlimited. Without a subscription the app is fully usable, it just never leaves the phone.

It is built for the size of group that actually loses each other — four to a dozen. There is no hard cap being enforced during testing; tell me if you ride with more and I will make sure it holds up.

Live location costs power, and no app can pretend otherwise. MapSync only shares while you are in an active group, so the honest advice for a long ride is the same as for any navigation app: use a phone mount with a charger.

No. Sharing runs while you are in a group. Leave the group and it stops. You can also revoke location permission in Android settings at any time — you will still see others, you just will not appear yourself.

Yes, so the group knows who each marker is. Email and password, or Google Sign-In. Email verification is part of setup.

For Recline and Recline Helper: entirely on your device. For GymDesk: in an encrypted database on the gym's phone, with an optional backup. DealNest is a marketplace and needs a backend for listings and accounts. Each app's policy spells it out.

Ads keep the free apps free. They never appear during an active call, on an incoming call screen, over the lock screen, or during a recording. In GymDesk they appear on the scanner screen, never over member data entry or payment screens.

Usually within 24 hours, rarely longer than two or three days. Including your device model, Android version and clear steps to reproduce makes it far more likely the first reply is a fix rather than a question.

Recline targets Android 8.0 and above. Behaviour differs on heavily customised skins — MIUI, One UI, ColorOS and Funtouch each handle default-app roles and background limits their own way. Tell me which skin you're on and I'll look into it.
